Ilersis publishes its 2024 Annual Report and reaffirms its commitment to promoting independent living

Ilersis publica la Memoria 2024 y reafirma su compromiso con el fomento a la vida independiente

Fundació Privada Ilersis has published its annual report, which sets out the activity carried out throughout 2024, as well as the main results, projects and challenges achieved. With almost five decades of history, the organisation has supported more than 700 people and has had a workforce of 316 people.

A model of independent living that keeps growing

During 2024, Ilersis expanded its Casa Meva housing project, opening two new homes (Hogares Ronda and Prat de la Riba) and consolidating six active homes. This model of autonomous living, far removed from institutional care, encourages self-management, community living and participation.

At the same time, the organisation rolled out the pilot Personal Assistance programme for young people, while maintaining family support initiatives that have guaranteed the number of respite stays and support services that help with work–life balance and emotional wellbeing.

The Occupational Centre (CO) supported 108 people through the Ocupació programme, which includes therapeutic occupation and pre-employment activities, and the EnCaixa programme, which brings together personal and social adjustment activities.

A highlight is La Màxima, the inclusive performing arts project, which has grown to 25 participants and has had a strong presence at cultural and institutional events.

Employment and training: key pillars of the social project

The Special Employment Centre (CET) employed 129 people with disabilities across the areas of carpentry, product handling and assembly, gardening, cleaning, logistics, document destruction, retail and catering. In addition, at the end of 2024, Ilersis launched a new service repairing containers, pallets and plastic items in Balaguer. Support from the Multidisciplinary Support Team has been essential in ensuring adapted and sustainable employment pathways.

In the retail and catering area, in 2024 the organisation opened new services such as Lo Quiosc and the Bo-Café del Orfeó, and expanded its catering service with a new line linked to the Col·legi de Metges de Lleida (Lleida Medical Association).

In 2024, 195 catering services were provided for businesses, institutions and private clients. BO de Shalom held a total of 333 events, 50 more than the previous year.

The ACTIVA Ilersis training area continues to grow

The ACTIVA area supported 492 people through guidance, training and job placement programmes. Notably, 128 training courses were delivered, totalling more than 5,800 hours of training. Programmes such as training in priority areas (FOAP), Dual FPO, Singulars, SIOAS, Incorpora and Noves Oportunitats have enabled many people who face difficulties in accessing the labour market to begin a process of skills development or job placement.

A year of growth and European cooperation

The report also covers Ilersis’s expansion across the region, with the consolidation of the industrial premises on the Camí dels Frares industrial estate and the start of the project for a new 700 m² training centre in Lleida’s university district. This space will make it possible to broaden the range of training on offer and improve learning environments.

Ilersis has also played an active role in cross-border cooperation, taking part in the CIMER project. This joint initiative has made it possible to share good practice in the field of inclusion and employment, strengthening the community perspective and the exchange of knowledge between regions.

A project with a track record and an eye on the future

Ilersis closes 2024 consolidating its position as a key player in the Catalan social third sector. Its commitment to innovation, local impact and strengthening the community fabric is evident in every action, service and project it undertakes.
